Skirrid Fawr
MMM February - A Walk up Skirrid Fawr Mountain. Local legend has it Ysgyryd Fawr, or Skirrid Fawr, is also known as the Holy Mountain or the Sacred Hill. Ysgyryd is a word describing the hill's shape, meaning something that has shivered or been shattered. According to legend, part of the mountain is said to have been broken off at the moment of the crucifixion of Jesus.
Rhayader
MMM 19th April - Rhayader, Mid Wales, Cycle route (Approx 10 miles) around the Elan valley resevoirs. This is not particularly strenuous as the routes are man made and gravel. The distance we do will be dictated by the slowest rider. No Stress no Probs just the usual good banter and good company.
The Dragons Back
MMM August - We follow the path from the pub car park, ascend the old iron fort then along Y Grib/The Dragons Back....an awesome ridge up to Waun Fach the highest Black mountain...
Ben Nevis
MMM November - November 14th - Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,344 metres above sea level, it is located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William. We took the Mountain track as we where on the tail of storm Abigail (hit the UK on November 12-13) it brought high winds, rain, lightning, and wintry showers across the north and northwest of Scotland!!
